BRUSSELS AIRLINES EXTENDS FREE REBOOKING PERIOD UNTIL 31 AUGUST

Passengers have until August 31, 2020, to select a different departure date and/or destination.

50 euro off each subsequent booking

Customers can rebook after the initial flight date without contacting customer support in advance.

Rebooking with a discount is possible through customer care or travel companies.

Due to the unusual circumstances brought on by the coronavirus, Lufthansa Group Airlines, including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Air Dolomiti, are providing even better service to their clients.

Customers who have tickets for cancelled and ongoing

Brussels Airlines flights

may keep their tickets without having to immediately commit to a replacement flight date, as was previously announced on March 13. Existing reservations will be initially cancelled, but the ticket and its value will stay the same and be extendable to a new departure date up to and including the end of December 2020. Additionally, customers can change their reservations.

Prior to this change, passengers had until June 1 to inform the airlines of their preferred rebooking date. This deadline has now been extended by 12 weeks, to the end of August 2020. Brussels Airlines is addressing the need of many customers to assist in making their travel plans more flexible under the unique conditions caused by the spread of the coronavirus by implementing this policy extension.

Of course, no matter which fare was selected, rebooking fees will not be assessed. Brussels Airlines offers its clients a discount of 50 euros on every rebooking, however should the rebooked fare be more expensive owing to a change of destination (e.g., rebooking from short-haul to long-haul), change of class of travel, or something similar, an additional payment may be necessary.

This policy is applicable to reservations made up to 31 March 2020 with a confirmed departure date of 31 December 2020 or later.

The Brussels Airlines Service Centers are currently dealing with an astronomically high volume of client enquiries. In order to meet demand, Brussels Airlines is always seeking to increase capacity. Unfortunately, given the current state of affairs, processing customer requests may be delayed due to the lengthy wait periods. Customers should be aware that they are not required to get in touch with Brussels Airlines Customer Service prior to the scheduled departure date. Rebooking is also an option after the scheduled departure time. Rebookings can be done through travel agencies or customer service centres.
