Elseworlds

Yes, I am a tumblr refugee, and no, I'm not giving up my blog there. It's 99% smut free and should be allowed to exist in the new world, and people who already know who I am will still be able to find me.

However; I have been excessively nostalgic today, (I went and re-read all my old LiveJournal entries, which isn't for the weak of heart), and I'm inspired to get back to my slightly-fictionalized journaling roots.

So... I'm Noelle, and in November of 2012 I decided to do research into hypnosis because I wanted to write a novel that would appeal popularly to the same part of the population that had just made the 50 Shades books popular. Since badly written, inaccurately portrayed bdsm was already taken, I ticked off a quick list of "taboo" activities and hypnosis was the one that seemed the most interesting.

I was shocked to discover that I was more on target than I'd expected; there was such a thing as "Erotic Hypnosis" and there were several well-established fetish communities in existence at which I could learn more.

What I learned was that erotic hypnosis is delightfully, deliciously, daringly attractive, and that it was definitely going to be a part of my life going forward. I blogged a little bit about that, first on LiveJournal then on Blogger, and then on tumblr. And eventually, because on tumblr it's easier to be reactive rather than proactive, I stopped writing as much; I still wrote but I reblogged other people's stuff far more.

It's time to get back to journaling. I don't know how long I'll keep it up, but now seems like a prime opportunity to do so.

(And yes, I am a giant nerd who just finished watching part 2 of the arrowverse elseworlds cross-over; you can expect many, many mentions of nerd-stuff in the future.)
