Archaic Toki Pona words

A few extra information for a few words

namako "spices, to spice, to asseason; salt; additional, new" < Japanese なまこ / 海鼠 'sea cucumber; sea slug'

kin "too, also, indeed" [emphasizes the previous word] < Finnish -kin 'even, any'

oko "eye" < Croatian òko 'eye' (cfr. English ocular)

These modern words didn't make 'pu'

kipisi 'to cut' < Inuktitut

monsuta 'monster, fear' < English monster

apeja 'shame, disgrace, dishonor, reproach; shameful' < Finnish 'häpeä' (shame, disgrace, dishonor, reproach)

The obsolescent words have been used

iki 'he, she, it, they' < Georgian "იგი" /igi/ 'he, she, it'

kan 'with' < maybe Welsh "gan" 'with'

leko 'block, stairs' < probably "Lego" (TM)

majuna 'old, ancient' < Esperanto "maljuna"

pata 'brother, sister, sibling' < Tok Pisin brata (< English brother)

These obsolete words where probably never used

jalan 'foot, leg' [voted away replacement for noka suggested by jan Sonja] < Finnish jalan 'on foot, afoot'

kapesi 'brown, grey' < maybe from Georgian კაფეში /k’apeshi/ 'in the café'

pasila 'easy' < Esperanto "facila"

po 'four' < English "four"

powe 'false' < probably French "faux" 'false'

tuli 'three' < English "three"

pake 'block, stop, lock' < Canadian French barrer 'to lock' (10)
