Hello @sapphrodite , instances works a bit like emails server. You can join multiple instances if you want, have multiple accounts one a single instance, or just a single account on a single instance. Some instances may be themed although I'm not aware of any at the moment. Being on a particular instance doesn't mean you can't talk with peoples on another. This instance is maintained by one of Plume's developers and is intended to be generalist and open to mostly anyone.
